Car Portrait Photography in Budapest

Portraits of you and your car in one shared series.

If your car is an important part of your life, it deserves a series in which you are also present. We adapt the location, light and atmosphere to you and the character of the car, while I guide you throughout so the two of you work naturally together in the photographs.

A good choice when the car is also part of your story.

It may be a modified car, a rare model, your first vehicle or simply one connected to important experiences. The series shows your relationship with it and the atmosphere that suits you together.

Alongside the portraits, we can create individual photographs of the car, interior situations and detail images. The main focus remains on you and the vehicle together, so the session develops differently from a series centred entirely on the car.

How car portrait photography is planned

The colour, shape and finish of the car influence the session just as much as the portraits of you. We coordinate the location, time of day and your appearance in advance, then gradually build the shared photographs at the location.

  1. I learn about the car and your idea

We look at the car you will bring, why it matters to you, the details you want to show and the kind of atmosphere you would like for the series.

  2. We choose the right location and light

We adapt the surroundings and time of day to the colour, shape and style of the car. We also consider access, parking and how it can be positioned safely.

  3. We build the situations together during the shoot

I help you with where to stand, how to lean against the car, when to sit inside, what to do with your hands and how the portrait and vehicle can connect naturally.

  4. You choose the photographs to be retouched

After the session, you select your favourites. The starting price includes 10 retouched photographs, and you receive one additional retouched photograph together as a gift on the day of the shoot.

How much does car portrait photography cost?

Starting price

HUF 45,000

The starting price applies to one person, one car and 10 retouched photographs. The time spent helping you settle in and giving you direction does not increase the cost. I provide a bespoke quote in advance for several cars, several or more distant locations, more complex evening lighting, special technical requirements or a larger finished collection.

We adapt the location and time of day to the shape, colour and finish of the car. The same vehicle can look completely different in daylight, evening light or artificial lighting, so we discuss these details before the session.

  • 10 retouched photographs selected by you
  • 1 retouched photograph together delivered as a gift on the same day
  • portraits, interior situations and vehicle details in one series
  • additional retouched photographs available separately
  • bespoke quote for several cars or a more complex production

What people said after their car photo shoots

István Janzsó

Portrait photography English translation
5 out of 5 stars

Before the shoot I was nervous — more than a little — but we talked a lot, and the whole process became surprisingly natural. I received guidance, but nothing felt mechanical; it was simply a great atmosphere.

Planning the shared series

How do we coordinate the car, location and your appearance?

We choose the location around the character of the car and the atmosphere you want

The colour, shape, age and style of the car strongly influence the environment in which it works well. A classic model, modern sports car, off-road vehicle or more everyday car with personal meaning may each suit a different location and type of light.

An urban setting, industrial background, multi-storey car park, garage, quieter suburban location or evening lighting may all work. Alongside visual considerations, we also check that the vehicle can access and occupy the planned position safely.

Evening or artificially lit photographs can create a more dramatic and contrasting direction, but may require more preparation and technical equipment. We clarify this while preparing the quote.

Your clothes should connect to both you and the car

A sporty, everyday, motorsport-inspired, elegant or completely minimal appearance can all work. The right direction depends on the style of the car, the location and how you normally use the vehicle.

You do not need to dress in the same colour as the car. Instead, we choose shades and patterns that remain distinct from the paintwork, work well against the background and do not draw attention away from you.

You can send simple phone photographs of the clothes you are considering in advance. This allows us to see which option works best with the vehicle and chosen surroundings before the session.

The car should also be prepared for the session

Clean bodywork, windows, wheels and a tidy interior make a significant difference because the shared portraits are normally accompanied by detail photographs and individual images of the car.

Ideally, wash the car on the day of the session or shortly beforehand. After a longer journey, bring a clean cloth and basic cleaning products to remove dust, water marks or insects collected on the way.

In this session, you and your car are together at the centre of the series. For a larger, more detailed and atmosphere-led collection focusing entirely on the vehicle, a dedicated car photoshoot provides a more suitable framework.

Frequently asked questions

How is car portrait photography different from car photography?

In car portrait photography, you and your car are together at the centre of the series. We can also create individual photographs and details of the vehicle, but the primary subject is your relationship with it. Car beauty photography focuses mainly on the vehicle itself.

Does the car need to be unusual?

No. The series can feature a modified, rare or classic car, your first vehicle or a more everyday car that matters to you personally.

What should I wear for car portrait photography?

Choose clothes that suit you, the style of the car and the atmosphere of the location. A sporty, everyday, motorsport-inspired or elegant direction can all work. We can review the possible outfits together before the session.

How should I prepare the car?

Arrive with clean bodywork, windows and wheels and a tidy interior. Bring a cloth and basic cleaning products so we can remove any dust or marks collected on the journey.

Where should car portraits be photographed?

Depending on the shape, colour and style of the vehicle, we can choose an urban, industrial, garage, multi-storey car park, suburban or more natural setting. Alongside the appearance, we consider access and safe positioning.

Will you create individual photographs of the car?

Yes. Alongside the shared portraits, we can create wider images of the car, interior situations and detail photographs. If you primarily want a larger series focusing only on the vehicle, car beauty photography provides a more suitable starting point.

Can the session take place in the evening or at night?

Yes. Evening light can create a more dramatic and contrasting collection, although it may require more preparation or additional technical solutions. We agree on the details and expected cost in advance.

What happens in poor weather?

Light cloud can work particularly well, but in heavy rain, storms or weather that could endanger the car or equipment, we arrange a new date. We make the decision together before the session.

What determines the price?

The final price depends on the number of cars and locations, travel distance, evening or artificial lighting, other technical requirements and the size of the finished collection. The time spent helping you settle in and giving you direction does not increase the cost by itself.

How many photographs will I receive?

The starting price includes 10 retouched photographs. You choose your favourites after the session, and you can order additional retouched images separately.

When will I receive the first photograph?

You receive one retouched photograph together as a gift on the day of the shoot. We agree on the delivery time for the complete series in advance.

Will the photographs be retouched?

Yes. You receive the selected photographs fully retouched. The editing brings consistency to the light, colours and small details while ensuring that both you and the car continue to look natural.
